Southeast Enterprise Facilitation Project (SEFP) is pleased to introduce a new business owner in the Parker, SD area. Monique Hurtado is the owner and operator of “The Social Soiree”, a boutique bookkeeping company. SEFP had the honor of developing a business plan and helping Hurtado marry these two different business solutions into a single business entity.
The Social Soiree offers Small Business Bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax reconciliations as well as Social Media Marketing and Copy Writing. Many small businesses choose to “do it themselves or figure it out”, finding themselves doing just enough while not really understanding why or what they are doing, whether it be with their financials or marketing. Uniquely equipped and experienced, Monique will be able to assist small businesses with a custom solution that fits their need and budget.
Although Monique has a degree in creative writing, she grew up in a family of financial advisors and bookkeeping businesses. Her Grandmother always said it was in their blood. Decades of experience handling various industries financials left Monique desiring to flex into her passion for creative writing. She started offering Social Media Marketing assistance and freelance copy writing. Merging these two very different crafts positions Monique to help businesses find success in an area they may be struggling with or simply do not enjoy doing.
The Hurtado Family originates from California but have called Parker home the last year and a half. In working with a realtor to find the “Hallmark” community to raise their family, Parker was the answer. Monique enjoys homeschooling their younger three of their four children: Shane, Reagan, Sawyer, and Sadie. Her Husband David works for Poet. Now that they have settled into their new home and community, the time is right to start her work once more.
Monique states “Bookkeeping is more than just numbers and spreadsheets. It is evaluating what works and what doesn’t. It’s asking hard questions so we can find new avenues to help your business continue to flourish. I help my clients understand the story their bookkeeping is writing so they continue on their path of growth and success. I promise to not only be your biggest cheerleader, but to also keep you moving forward in this ever-changing business climate.”
The Social Soiree will provide the needed care and attention to be successful in this business endeavor and is excited to offer valuable services that their clients will benefit from. To learn more about the business, visit www.thesocialsoiree.info or find The Social Soiree on Facebook or Instagram.
